Shell Dromus B
Premium soluble oil for metal removal applications Shell Dromus B provides excellent cooling, lubricity, and rust protection for use in a wide range of grinding and machining operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Applications
Shell Dromus B is general purpose soluble oil containing a high level of emulsifiers for superior performance. It readily emulsifies and forms very
stable emulsions even with relatively hard water and high dilution ratios. Shell Dromus B is suited for light machining and is especially recommended
for grinding operations where very clean emulsions are typically required to permit rapid settling of fines.

Recommended Concentrations
The concentration varies depending on the type of machining operation, the water hardness, and the required corrosion protection. Shell Dromus B is typically emulsified at 20:1 to 40:1 water/oil ratiosfor drilling, planning, milling, sawing, and turning applications.
Storage
The product should be stored inside (41-104°F) for no more than one year. Freezing should be avoided.
Health & Safety
Please note that mixed coolants work over long periods of time, therefore chemical contamination (hydraulic oils, greases, metal solutions, paints, rust
inhibitors, etc.) or bacterial contamination (from dirty hands, work pieces, industrial grade water, sundry waste, etc.) can often occur. Contamination
with the above materials should be minimized/eliminated. Regular monitoring of the in-use product is recommended to maintain optimum product condition and for determination of it’s useful working life.
Protect the environment
Waste must be disposed of in accordance with EC Directive 91/156, 91/689 and 94/62 or in line with local legislation.
